Members Epfoservices - Services for EPF Members (Balance check, UAN status check & Others)

EPF / PF (Employee Provident Fund) is one of the premium investment and retirement planning scheme provided by Government of India. Lately EPFO (Employee provident fund organization) has launched a set of services for its members under the umbrella of 'members epfoservices' that provides useful services to epf subscribers.

Here is a quick descriptions of common services and problems faced by members:

This service allows epf user (also called subscribers) to check the epf member balance by sending an sms from their registered phones.

Under this scheme, epf users can check their EPF member account balance by sending sms to 7738299899.

Once you send this sms, you will get a return sms showing the current balance in your EPF member account.

EPFOservices site include service of checking the status of UAN. UAN stands for Universal Account Number and has been now made mandatory for all EPF/PF members

To check the UAN status, members need to go to UAN Member Portal. Once on the website, click on the 'Know your UAN Status' link. After that it will ask you following questions based on your PF number (you can find your PF number from your salary slip):

• Select State - choose your state, e.g., Delhi or Karnataka
• Select your office region
• After filling your state and office region, the first two digits of PF number gets filled automatically. If it does not match your PF number, please change state and office region until it matches
• Est code - It is the first 5 to 7 digit number in your PF number and represents your office.
• Ext - Fill it if you have one in your PF account otherwise fill 000. It is 000 for most of us.
• A/c no - PF account number. It is last number in your PF member no and can be of maximum 7 length.

Once you fill that, click on 'check status'. It will show the status of your UAN like 'Your UAN is alloted for member id'.

At this moment, if you have an alloted UAN, it will allow you to set your password by providing verification details like
your date of birth, email id, and mobile phone number.
