SBI PIN Generation at SBI ATM

We have observed many times that people get their SBI debit cum ATM card, but PIN is not received. SBI allows you to generate PIN or change your PIN without standing in a line at your bank.

Generating or changing your PIN is a two step process. First, you need to generate an OTP (One time password) and then you can use this OTP to set your PIN at an ATM. OTP itself can be generate at an ATM or you can generate it by sending SMS or calling SBI customer service number.

Generate PIN for SBI Card at SBI ATM

Here are the steps required:

  1. Insert your debit cum ATM card in the sbi ATM
  2. In the menu shown, select 'PIN Generation', it is typically the last option
  3. When asked, enter your Account Number
  4. When asked, enter your Registered Mobile Number
  5. SBI will send you one time password (OTP)
  6. You can now change or generate your PIN. Please insert your card again in the ATM and select Banking -> PIN Change and provide OTP followed by your new PIN.

Generate PIN - OTP by SMS and PIN change at SBI ATM

  • SMS from your registered mobile number to 567676 with format: 'PIN <XXXX> <YYYY>'. Here XXXX is the last four digit of your card and YYYY is last four digit of bank account number.
  • You will receive OTP on your registered mobile number.

You can now set your PIN at SBI ATM. Please insert your card in the ATM and select Banking -> PIN Change and provide your new PIN. It need to be done within 24 hours of getting OTP.

Generate PIN - OTP by call (IVR) and PIN change at ATM

  • Call 1800 11 2211 or 1800 425 3800 from your registered mobile number
  • Select the option for your desired language by dialing the required number
  • Select the option for 'Debit Card related queries'
  • Select the option for 'Generate debit card Pin'
  • When asked, enter your Debit / ATM Card number and your bank account number
  • You will receive OTP on your registered mobile number

You can now set your PIN at SBI ATM. Please insert your card in the ATM and select Banking -> PIN Change and provide your new PIN. It need to be done within 24 hours of getting OTP.
